Specification of Vertical Multistage Centrifugal Pump CNP
Multistage centrifugal pumps have multiple liquid chambers (or stages) that are connected in series. Fluid enters the first chamber at suction line pressure and leaves at some elevated pressure. There are a couple different types of multistage pumps. Those with a horizontal shaft, and those with a vertical shaft.
A centrifugal pump with a single impeller that can develop a differential pressure of more than 150 psid between the suction and the discharge is difficult and costly to design and construct. All Pumps stock, supply and service a wide range of vertical multistage centrifugal pumps.
Parallel connection of impellers for higher flow output. Multistage centrifugal pumps are used where the delivery head obtained using a single stage pump is insufficient. When the pressure needed for the fluid is more or the head required to transport fluid is more. In either case the multistage pump is used.
